Nottinghamshire Windows For Period Properties

Do you own a listed building or heritage property in Nottinghamshire?

Would you like the peace of mind of commissioning work from a local company, where you can easily visit our Nottinghamshire workshop?

Merrin Joinery specialise in making wooden windows using traditional methods. Unlike some companies with a "heritage" range of windows, every window we make at Merrin Joinery is individually designed to meet the exact requirements of your local conservation officer.

The round window shown above is a wooden window we made for a Grade II listed barn conversion in Nottinghamshire. The detail of the mould, the type of glass and the exact shade of paint all fully met both our client's and her conservation officer's needs. We use traditional putty-pointing to secure single-glazing in our windows for listed buildings.

Merrin Joinery made the white window shown above for a property in a Nottinghamshire conservation area. The local council required trickle-vents and allowed double glazing to be fitted with plant-on narrow glazing bars. The flush casements and moulding detail preserved the original aesthetics of the old farm house. You can click on the image to see a larger photograph, with this casement window and a sash window.

The photograph in our Nottinghamshire workshop is an example of a bespoke cutter we had made so that the profile on the component was an exact match for the profile of the original window. This attention to detail ensures that work we carry out for Listed Buildings meets the approval of our clients' local conservation officers, and always preserves the specific features that make that particular listed buildings so special.
